Post by Bunyip »

I have a swb mk sd33t. due to more lift my front driveshaft is now fowling up on the crossmember....
Yes I know that the pro way of fixing would be to cut and move the whole member back but lack of owning my own workshop....... was wondering if there is another way???
can i cut a small section out???????? or will this weaken it
can i heat up and remould (bash) ????????
any info would be great......... CHEERS!!!!!!! :? :? :?: :?:

i have a 6" spring lift and the front shaft had only 3mm clearance on the x-member. so it had to be done, even with a 4" lift its really close and should be done.
