Yeah was not too sure on that one.

Just looked at it more. Being UK it probably would be ford crap. Damn

it did not specify.

a bit of that but i have had that same gearbox for nearly 8 years & in 3 ge gze zuks so i can't complain.
when the new box goes in we should be able to lean on the motor a bit harder to see what its capable of

there is a mob over in NZ that make W58 G/box to 4AGE block bell housings. Works a treat...though the W58 is A LOT bigger then the T50..then again i think anything is bigger than a T50

klappers do you have a link to the mob in nz ,i heard it was nite parts but the website is gone.
i have a g52 4runner 5spd & t /case for it (the bellhousing is the same as w series).
the t50 was never going to hold up behind a twincharged eng ;)

you are absolutely correct...so let me get this straight, a G series gearbox has the same bolt pattern (g/box side) as a W58??? If that is the case then you are laughing. You could probably take it somewhere to have it modified to fit as well... I would have to ask a mate of mine but they are not cheap. But bolt in really well.... :P

yep w57,8,9 are the bolt pattern as hilux 5spd g52 i think it is.

it is supposed to be a common swap behind 4ag engines with the drift boys but i'm having trouble finding a bellhousing
(other than dellow $560 trade plus freight)
or an adapter plate

i've only been in qld a few months & haven't got any idea who's who to use or even get materials from yet

If any of you guys have a cheaper alternative to these bellhousings then I would like to be kept in the loop. Im considering ditching the T50 and going for a W series box myself.

do it you wont regret it. The W series box is such a nice box to drive compared to the T50 or the R154 for that matter...and then there is the V161 ohhh how i dream of thee

Yes the W series will be much better in the long run and just after i have been to all the trouble of swapping the T50 extension housing to move the shifter further forward. The R154 I believe will be overkill and the V160/161 would be good just to say I have a 6 speed gearbox in my Zook :D
