I know this has probably been asked before but stuffed if can find it in a search.
I have a 01 3L GU Patrol and have just put a boost guage in it. now under normal driving on the road it reaches 20psi then tapers back to 17psi, but when i hit the sand i find it going as far as 25psi and staying there while im up it. then 2 mins later the engine check light comes on. now im sure this isnt meant to happen and it running like this would cause engine damage, ( probably y so many have apparently blown up over the last couple of years) does anyone know what the max boost is meant to be???
aslo anyone know how to fix the sluggish acceleration from the lights because it does this too. may be a related problem!!
any suggstions??? thanks

ZD30 ENGINE QUESTION
Sluggish acceleration could be your mass air flow sensor. Part number 22680-AD210 (genuine).
Not sure of $$$ as mine was under warranty.
Got mine replaced and acceleration back to normal.
No sure about the PSI from turbo but I do know they run fairly high. So they can get power out of the small engine.
Would be great if someone in the know could answer this but hay!!

Yeah i agree that 20psi is too much normally, its when it starts going up to 25psi that i get really worried, i am only new to these nissans but am interested in learning all about them! has anyone here been witty enough to be able to make a program for say a laptop or palm that communicated with the factory ecm??? so i can do my own diagnostics
