Hello, im very close to be purchasing an old 60 series cruiser....
Can anyone help me to where i should buy some lift blocks and suspension from in tasmania?
i would like to be able to put 35" under it.. Is it possible to go any bigger than them? and what are the LWD cruisers like offroad?? it is a 83 LWB g series, petrol:( and gas:) 275k.
1 more question...
What are these things like on the beach's? too heavy? larger tyres reccomended?
thanx all for your time.

60 series are battle waggons. Had one till the top rusted off. It would take 33's no problems but will need lifting to take 35's. You can get suspension mods at the local supermarket - well just about. Most 4wd shops have kits etc for them, eg, re-bent springs, longer shocks etc etc. They are heavy and don't like soft sand too much, but they are dependable and very tough in the drive train except the 5th gear suffers premature wear, but can be fixed cheaply. Funny thing, don't see many of them off-road nowadays - perhaps cause most have rusted to death?

I have 35z on mine. I have a 3" lift and 2" bodylift and they fit ok. Mine is fine on the beach also.

Apologies for hijack.

I have a 75 series 2H, and I notice recently 5th gear is getting noisier. I read with interest the comment about being able to 'fix' this cheaply.
Is anyone able to expand on this 'fix' at all?
