Jetzon Tyres

Has anyone had experience or know of anyone running jetzon trailcutter r/t's?? I need new tyres and i was thinking of getting them in 31". i've already got 31" pirreli scorpians. I don't think I want to go up to 33" anymore, have people noticed huge losses in fuel economy going up to 33"s? The larger tyres also seem too expensive, I am only a student so I can't fork out too much coin. Has anyone got mongrels as their every day drivers?

shorti, im a student also, went the 33" Nankang Mudstars - $178.50 ea fitted and balanced, thats $714 for 4 off, they only measure out to a 32"x11.5" but that makes them better for turning and also it justifies why you can get them so cheap, but i rate them as an excellent tyre, and very roadworthy also, excellent wear, excellent handlign and very decent in the wet....sorry but for the jetzons i got no idea,

just had a look at those tyres there, shorti, whats the price on them? is it really owrth it if they are cheap if they havent been proven???

depends on your style of driving i guess, im not sure they really grab me too much...but thats my opinion based on what i drive.

I run 33" mongrels as daily drivers. I also dont clock up verry many ks at the moment. They are noisey and rough and certainly dont like pulling up on wet bitumen much but they are ph@&*ing awsome off road. I dont imagine that ill get much more than 20-30 thousand ks out of them using them on road but theyll last untill I kill the paj

These Jetszons are also known as Eldorado here in Aus...

They even take on the same model names...

Usually, any GT Radial dealer can get these in, and they are very well priced.

Although they are not very well known, they perform really well... WIZBIN on here deals with Eldorado tyres and recommends them, shoot him a PM in you have any questions.

So if you look around for Eldorado Trailcutters you will find some more info

P.S - If you want good combination tyres... go buy some MTRs

I'm a student too... I saved up and just got some 31" MTRs.. couldn't be happier mate

I have run the MTRS for the last 5 years. They are one of the best off road tire with great on road manners. They ride better on the road then a lot of AT's do, and they spank the AT's offroad.

MTRs are one hell of a sexy tyre. I would love to purchase them too but fear they are too expensive. Although im not a student, am saving for a house with my g/f. Tyres arent high on the priority list as far as she is concerned. the cheaper the better.

What is the OD on the MTRs anyway? Since learning nankang mudstar 31 inch tyres are actually only 30 inches OD, ive become a little obsessed with the actual ODs.

For the record, try Bridgestone Dueler 604V (old fasioned type with large white lettering). They are pretty competitive with one rep from bridgestone saying to shop around, as you should be able to get them for less than 180 each.

thats the kinda price i wanted also

they started out at $245 a tyre not fitted and balnced, and 5 places later, went back to the first place and he sorted me out. I actually spoke to the guys at The 4x4 Tyre Team at the Son of Trials, and after about 10 bundys, 2am and round the fire, even they admitted that was a good price and Bryson, guy who sold them to me, wouldnt have made much, theyd know, theyre the guys that sold them to him!

but it didnt take much, and i was happy, and am happy with the product, but accept that theyre not a true 33" and you wont be disappointed

this wasnt that long ago either, march is when i boguht them, cant imagine things have changed.

I rang a few places today and the best i could get for 5 tyres is 230 a pop and I can get these hankook mts wwhich are apparently "in another class of tyre" eg better than the nankangs for 240 a tyre. Hmm decisions decisions.

So i gotta decide
- hankook or nankang (im not too fused here)
- 33" or 31" (i dont know if the extra inch of clearance is worth the extra money per tyre and also buying a 33" spare and new rims to suit.)

31x10.5 R15 is one of the most common tyre. A bridgestone rep told me to shop around when buying anything in this size. For nankangs or bridgestones I wouldnt pay more than 200 each.

That price was for 33"s I think the 31" price would be below 200.
