what Tranny are you going to run?

You sure that you can mate whatever it is up to a ZF?

And this question should be in the Rover section, Boof  :finger:

Its the one that says ROVER.

I think Bubs might have one. He was wrecking a Rangie, but I can't remember if it was auto or manual.

Otherwise...you live in Toowoomba. Just get the boys to lift one for you ;)

Don't get a ZF from a diesel, you will have to swap input shafts/bellhousings. All others will fit.

On a side note, has anyone used the rangie Torque-Flite in a buggy? Should be even stronger than the ZF???

New of one in a 3.5 V8 buggy,
First three ratios are the same almost as ZF, Makes for good launches with a low ratio diff too. Easier to keep cool than a ZF I understand.

Isn't a Ranger a Ford, so that would still make this the wrong section :finger:

Just make sure you get a 4HP22 ie 3.9 Disco or Rangie with mechanical kickdown up to 95? on Range Rover but maybe later on Disco.
4HP24E will require an electronic controller, which no one makes for a ZF at present, but somone on this forum said could be done.

I think the homeless has a TF, and sam keck had one in his vitara, which donated its mechanicals to his moon buggy. he had some trouble with it, can't remember what.......

by not not
no the homeless does not run the 727 anymore as we swaped it for a zf when we put the 3.9 in it the TF was a bit shaged
If you need it boof i can put you on to who has it now? but might need a look at.
Cheers Jamie

my rangie has been fitted out with the disco zf and transfer. when i pulled the carpet up the other day i noticed the top half of the tunnel had been cut off and the disco section welded in to mount the shifters. The other part i have found out the hard way is that you can not remove the hand break drum at the rear of the transfer without dropping it down atleast an inch or two cos it will not clear the cross member.
