Hello Grumpy...

I shat a coil and ended up with a Bosch unit a few years ago. Direct bolt on, seems to be a great unit. Had to replace a newish set ( under six months old ) of T-PGUN leads because they started arcing like crazy. On with a set of Bosch leads and all's been sweet since. I didn't bother checking price of genuine one but I'd guess there'd be no change out of a few green ones.

for those gen 1 owners out there.

i recently changed my coil. cost me $40 (eklin gx80r?) for a generic 'high perfomance" one .

the one the eklin book recomeended was a ic12 for $57

and for a genuine one it was round $150. so it pays to shop around
