what weight oil in a TD 80

Just checking to see what oil weights people are running in there factory turbo chaged 80 series. Toyota recomends valvoline 20W40, but the previous owner ran penrite 20W50.

Now that my big ends have been done, which oil should i use??????

Whts everyone else running?

The guy I brought mine off used valvoline 20W40. I suppose it would just depend on where you live and the tempurate ranges that you get.

Very true - in Sydney, 20W40 is good.
Use Castrol J-max or CJX, or if you want some really good stuff, PM me.
