offset rims for disco

Post by jacka »

Currently running 33" muds on my 01 TD5. Would like a set of wider rims for a bit more stability and clearance. Do you have any suggestions of what sort of wheels do I buy?

Ummmm. Did you read the topic heading Simon? ;)

How wide do you want to go?
Thanks,

Being a D2 there is not many choices out there, best bet would be to go to a wheel specialist and see what else will fit, so do you need 16x8's or will reversed D2 steel rims be ok ?
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.

I know that 265/75-16's fit fine on 16x8 rims. They are wider rims but only 32" tyres.

Also 33" JT2's (which are actually 34.3" and 265 wide) fit ok with only a 2" spring lift.
Thanks,

Adam

I think the D2 rims that Procomp in Vic sell have more offset than standard.
