If ur doing it at home
and are gonna use it alot
get a sparky to run a straight line from the power box
this way u wont be over-loading the electrical system in ya house
and blwoing fuses
If the mig is 3phase that u have gotta do this anyway

195a will be a 15a single phase unit - so he will probably need a sparky to put a new run.
Although if you have a modern house you can sometime get lucky - a mate just noticed that his garage as 2x15a GPOs in the garage.

i have the 195 Unimig and run it of the standard power in my shed at the moment however will be getting a sparky (Bartso you slacko) to run separate power into the shed for it as i will be upgrading to the 240 in the near future
the only problem with the 195 is that it has the small gun etc which are really only suitable for the smaller migs like the 150s and not the euro fit one..i just bought a euro gun and an adapter kit and converted mine to take the bigger Binzel 24 gun

don't go smaller than the 240 you will regret it. i mainly use mine on 8 for steel and alloy, even with my direct 2m long from meter box 4.5mm2 20amp socket 35amp breaker. especially tacking exo's etc you need the tack to penetrate such that it doesn't weaken the weld later.
i have had about 7 - 10 15kg rolls through mine and its still 100% but i have changed the steel sleeve (bought a new gun for steel re fitted old one with teflon tube, bigger tip etc)
i have needed more herbs on ocassion so definatly get at least 240 you will regret it otherwise.

by not not
I also have the unimig 195 and truethfully wouldnt buy one if i had the chance again. To many damn settings as far as the digi display goes! All you need is amps and wire speed stuff all the other crap they have on them.
For a novice anyway like myself.

try and get something with a copper transformer ie unimig 240 as you will have a better duty cycle

Personally i would recommend Lincoln or Migomag brands.
But if you dont want to spend to much go the unimig 240, and yes that big box on top the 255 SWF is a remotre wire feeder
