Don't know they would be any good in the mud

They are supposed to be great on the road, but as the above post says, I would not want to get the slots filled up with dirt as I could only imagine that would accelerate pad and rotor wear.

Had DBA slotted the on my previous Audi, they were great.
When the rotors need doing on the mav I'll be fitting them.
I don't think the slots would fill up with mud. There would be more chance of them filling up if they were cross drilled.

i got dba slotted rotors on the front of my mav, i only got them because they were very comparable in price to standard vented rotors. I've noticed a bit of a difference, i changed to bendix 4x4 pads at the same time and they are also good. Haven't had any problems with mud getting in them, I asked about that when I bought them and the dude said he had never heard of any problems.

i have DBA slotted rotors on my mav and i won't be buying them again. although great on the road i find they do fill up with mud and the ventalaton holes also need cleaning out. this is the first time i have had slotted rotors in the 10 years i have been 4bying and the only time i have had to scrape and clean mud out of rotors

Slotted rotors would be ok. Had them.
Slotted and drilled rotors????? Have heard/Not seen of cracking between
Holes when hot, could be worse if hot and put into a creek.
Cheers Ian.

they tend to crack and warp once used in the mud, there has also been stories of them catching on fire ?? i would not recommd using slotted and cross drilled, stick to just slotted and you will be fine.

have DBA slotted rotors on the Landy and haven't had any problems with the slots, but it's hardly rained here in the last three years.
Don't get drilled ones, small stones and mud may get trapped and after using them on race cars, my experience is they crack.

we do a package with 4 slotted DBA rotors and HD front and rear pads which is the best compound material when you have larger tyres fitted IMHO, have had no issue with them to date, and they improve brake performance, pedal effort, and fade issues.
We also do ADR approved stainless lines to replace the rubber lines, which improves brake feel also.
Our race series brake upgrade uses 6 pot front calipers with slotted rotors.
