a thought on a tb42 stroker

just thinking on tb42 engine mods came up with the idea of putting tb48 crank,rods and pistons into a tb42 wether it could work or not as i dont know how similar the blocks or the barrels dont know stroke lengths so on and so fourth but in theroy anything is possible i think it would be safe to say i wouldn't be the first person to think of it please let me here thoughts

what about fitting a short motor with the tb42 head (prolly higher compression) or long motor and bigger injectors in the tb42e manifold?

I think it might be able to be done with the TB45, but believe the TB48 is a different block.

have seen afew done, and cruiser 4.5's by having the crank welded and reground at new stroke, by Crankshaft rebuilders in Melbourne.

I believe with a rebore they were going up to 4.8-5.2lt.
