Wiring Diagram For GQ Patrol Petrol

Post by jono »

Does any one out there have a wiring diagram for a GQ Patrol.
My Head Lights keep on turning off for no reason at all. I want to know if they have a thermal overload as I've hook the driving lights to come on with the high beams though still switched seperately.
Thanks
Jono

The headlights seemed to turn off after being on highbeam for a while with the spotties on and then flick on and off intermittedly no matter what I do with the switch.
I've replace the switch from the wreckers thinking that's the only common thread to both the lights but it hasn't changed a thing.
Willing to listen to any suggestions.
It was a pain in the ass during the Piranha Challenge last weekend.
Luckily we had two other sets of driving lights indepentantly wired.
Thanks
Jono

Wiring Diagram

Here is a link I found in the Y60 Bible for wiring diagrams

http://www.users.on.net/~murcod/patrol/

and where I found it

http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Modul ... p?p=567134

Although it says it is for a TD42, the headlight wiring should be the same for a TB42.

Buy yourself a copy of the Gregory's repair book for your model patrol (pet or deisel). Best fourby companion you'll ever have. Has complete wiring diagrams for entire electrical system, plus heaps more.

just as motels have a bible, every GQ should have a Gregory's
