Unusual fuel consumption.

Post by MR04WD »

G'day all,I've recently moved the fuel tank on my lux from the standard possie,to the centre of the vehicle, just infront of the x member above the diff.Since doing so I've noticed a considerable amount of fuel consumption/loss.....about 50km's worth,8-9Ltrs :?: ......anything that comes to mind
Oh & no,its not leaking from anywhere.

fuel

Angles that the pump has to pull it through? Is the fuel line going through any tight corners causing restriction?
Kind Regards,
Brad

Does the tank take the same amount of fuel on fill up as before the move?

Yeah the tank will take the same as before & the angle of the tank is exactly the same. The only thing that is different is that the tank is mounted 'across' the vehicle instead of 'parallel' to the chassis rails.

I have just worked it out...your neighbour is syphoning your fuel tank every night due to the cost of fuel.

There is provison under the Wild Bush and Bracken Act to shoot him I think...
