Bloody ARB compressors
how crap r the ARB compressors
i was putting on my new 33's today so i needed to pump em up
my workshop compressor is gettin fixed so i had to pump em up with the ARB comp
no shit it woulda taken me 1 hour to pump em all up (tyres were already at 20-30 psi)
the connection on the end is piss weak
u have to sit there and push the thing down so no air leaks out
plus once the tyres reached 40 psi no matter how long i held it there it wouldnt go ova 41psi
have any of u used em to air ur tyres up but u did it quite quickly?
how do u overcome the end connection leaking???
imo they r only useful for lockers
pieces of shit

ARB Compressor
Ive never had a problem with my ARB compressor, had it for 2 years now and regularly pump up 4x33x12.5x15 tyres and run the locker every trip. Have you checked to see its not in need of a service as you can get complete service kits for them from ARB

We've had our ARB compressor in for over 3 and a half years, pumped up our 33's and our JT2s countless times, and punched the f & R locks again countless times, blown out fuel lines, reseated heaps of beads, cleaned out air filters blah blah blah, never failed us once. Recharges quickly, no leaks. I've modded mine with additional filtration on the intake and I put a quick release coupling on when we first got it.
Sounds like it needs a rebuild kit.

Built, not bought.
i've one of the original compressors in my landrover, not even stamped arb! its that early.
runs two lockers, and a 6 litre storage t6ank.
regularly tops up 4 x 255/85/16 from 20 - 35 psi.
put a filter on the intake just br screwing out the mesh one and screwing in a press in brass to poly pipe fitting, run the poly to a fuel filter.
yes it is painfully slow compared to a converted a/c compressor
