pro comp mud terrains any good?

im looking at getting a 2nd set of rubber for easier trips to save the life on the ET2's im thinking about pro comp muddies are they any good? i havent heard mutch on them so i wouldnt mind some feedback if people have used them before,

my dads got som 30x9.5's the tread blocks are all peeling back as if there are bubbles in the rubber. they probably havn't done 3000kms

I had a set of 35" procomp muds for my first set of "hardcore" rubber and they are really good..

they work really well in the mud when they are new and they seem to be lasting a long time.. they would be 3 years old now and a mate runs them on his car, they seem to have worn really well..

I;ve been running a set of 35"s for about 5 years now - ops make that 6 years....guess that shows how little milage I do
Anyhow they've worn really well and performed consistantly. Although now the tread block are getting a bit old & hard.....
Good allround tyre IMHO.

I had a set of 305s and the wear rate was very poor, I went back to ProComp and they agreed. They believed they were a early set and the since the rubber compound had been changed and improved. Saying this I would not touch another set though.

Replaced them with trusty BFGs.

I brought a set of 35's second hand off a mate who had done about 80,000k's on them, I did at least another 20,000 before I retired them, they still had plenty left on a couple of them. I found them to grip really good for a muddy even when getting worn down a lot.

I definately would run them again if I was buying muddies again.

I ran a set of 31s for few years, loved 'em. Shat all over the BFG MTs I had. Factorty siped so they were brilliant in the wet, wore bloody well. If I was ever going to run a set of MTs again it'd be the ProComps hands-down.

I've had a set of Pro Comp MTs in 35" for about 6000kms now.. they wearing great and have heaps of grip in the mud.. they're pretty good in the wet and i've been really happy with them.
I did stake a sidewall on my front right, but that was my fault (failed to see a small sharp stump and i bounced into into). You can see how thick the side walls are though..its pretty impressive really!
If i had a digi cam i'd take a pic and post it..

My brother inlaw raved about them while he had them. They were quieter than other mud tyres he had.
In the sloppy stuff I noticed they didn't grip as well as the Mickey Thompson Radials I was using but you wouldn't expect them to. They still performed well.

If you are after something that isn't quite as aggressive as the Mickey Thompson Radials then they should be on the very short list.

What did procomp say about the problem? with that many klms I'd be asking

he is yet to take them back.

sounds like they might be worth giving a go anyone used them on rock before? because my ET2's arent the best on rock surface
