4.6 diffs

Post by nicbeer »

Hey,

just wondering if this is worth doing in my zook. I am finding out next week but might be able to get a set cheap.

I am running 3.9s now.

I am running and going to for a while i think. 31s , 1L xfer, std 5 spd. Engine is looking to be either a g13ba or a G13BB at this time, 1.6 at max. there will be a locker going in the rear also.

If this is worth the go is it correct that i have to find 2 x front 1.6 8v vitara 3 spd auto diffs.

My mate with the sr20 2.0litre zook (another Joe) runs 4:6 ratios in his Sierra.
Seems to be right with 32" simex (measures 33)
But he has 140kwatts to drive it.
He has 1.0 litre t-case I beieve, also.

you do need 2 fronts, but vit owners mess with gears, so count the rotations before dissassembly, or count teeth and check ratios.

I run 4:9's with 1.o litre t case and 31" measured tyres and is slightly too low on road with a 1.3, but great in the bush
