steel centre for cruiser

Post by rover1 »

any body know where you can get a steel centre for a cruiser ute.
a mate of dad's asked me and all a could think of was an arb locker centre is steel, but he doesn't want a locker because the truck in question has a lazy axle added on and a dirty big camper on the back.
the cast centre just smashed to bits, it think its the extra strain when turning corners.

anybody know if you can get a standard or lsd steel centre?
cheers Pete.

Mate...if the centre that smashed was an open centred diff, a cast lsd is 4 times stronger......an arb centre is also strong, but not much more than the lsd.....i would run an 80 series lsd...they fit straight in with 80 series carrier bearings...
