Shaft Play

Post by cuzza »

I recently purchased a T3 turbo of a mate that came off a safari kit. It has a little bit of shaft play of around a millimeter. I have haerd that this usually goes away when it is connected to an oil source. Is this amount of shaft play acceptable and will it go away when connected to an oil source?

cheers

Around 1mm sounds fine to me.

A standard wrx turbo has just under 1mm of shaft play from the factory.
