Rear Vision and Reverse Parking Systems

Post by JBE »

I’m trying to work on a budget rear vision and reversing system (camera & LCD screen) for my GQ LWB and I’m wondering what other people have come up with. I did a search and could not find anything.
You can get cameras on ebay for approx $30. I couldn’t work out which LCD monitors (3.5” or 5”) allow to flick the image to a true mirror image.

Any input would be appreciated.

Cheers

jaycar is your best bet. they have everything from flip image cameras to screens and cables to splitters.

(jaycar at brookvale that i know of atleast)

good luck.
IF IT MOVES, SHOOT IT
IF IT DOESNT, CUT IT DOWN
IF ITS GREEN, PISS ON IT

My work has just put camera's and lcd screens into all our rigid trucks, they have sound also and you can flip images etc.

They can't be massively expensive as no-one has asked for them or complained and we havent had any incidents to speak of.

Best thing since sliced bread in the truck for weaving in traffic, being able to see when you are past the car next to ya etc.

And the sound is great, its really funny how someone who is waving you into a dock says "stop" very gently when they motion the same with their hand, why would they not yell it, lmao :D :D

The camera's are a clarion unit though I havent looked hard enough at the lcd to see a brand name.
