rear quarter chop on gq shorty,any one got close up pictures on where to cut,also lookin for ideas/designs on tube rear bars.

search is your freind there have been about 10 or 15 post on this in the last 6 months with some good up close photos and explanations there is actually a thread on gq rear bars to. :P

And unless the pics that he was asking for have been hosted on a site like photo bucket he has bugger all chance of seeing em as the site lost all its piccys after mentioned date ... :roll:




dude I will have alook through my piccys of my old shorty and see if I still have em saved somewhere ...and either host em up or email ....

i will also post some pics of the rear bar i made aswell ...

i have a few photos but photobucket is down at the moment...

check out my for sale thread and second photo down you can see the line i cut my quarters on..

main thing to do is when you cut the driver side take out your tailights and the inner panel and make sure that you know where all the wires are so you dont slice them when you chop it...rest of it is pretty straight forward..cut 5-10mm below where you want the finished line to be and fold the bottom lip up...

i just sikaflexed a panel in underneath but you can either rivet or weld in ..whatever you prefer...(sikaflex is heaps easier but)
