ok takin off from the lights 1st gear to 3000 slow shift into 2nd on release of clutch ther was a small shudder than drove fine shifted to 3rd 4th .
ok newxt set of lights only went back to 1st when i stopped did not go down through the gears took off in 1st to 3000 took 2nd let clutch out nothing no noise like jumping or grinding teeth just neutral
never seen anything like this before ther is just nothing there can it have snapped a circlip groove or synchro or something help will dismantle over the weekend but would like to know what i am in for

I'll start with the obvious, and don't take this the wrong way, but did it fall out of high range? You haven't mentioned whether or not you got it going again after.
If not, then the only other alternative is to take out the console and floor rubber and remove the shift housing cover. Check that the housing on the shift shaft that the peg engages with is not loose on the shaft, they have a alan key lock bolt. Failing this, strip the box and look for a total disintegration of the second gear hub assembly. (Not Likely!!!)...

the strange part is that i have every other gear still not grinding no noises whatsoever it is still firm in the shifting not flopping around

Weird. Must have broken something in the second hub. Looks like a pull apart is in order ...Maybe drop the oil and check the magnet??
