Theres a place here in Penrith that only does injection pumps and nothing else and has a good reputation in this area. If interested let me know and will get the number for you. I actually spoke to him last thursday in regards to doing my cam shims the other day and he doesnt even do them, pumps only so I reckon he would know his stuff and by the way he told me the same thing about W.E.D. I told him they were going to charge me $150/$250 and he said yes and when you walk out the door it will be $400 apparently known for it. I had some work done by them a few years back but didnt shop around was happy with the work but think I got ripped off but am wiser now since visiting these 4wd forums. Regards Steve M
what problems have people been having, I've only ever heard great things about them, I've heard nightmares from the place way down south from there plenty of times...mickbeny wrote:Hi all...Surfin Alec said>>I want to stay away from W#$t E^d Di#$#l as I have had only extremely expensive experiances with what I call shit service.<<
AGREED......
First time I went there I was $400 over charged for my injector service on the Surf (cos it was a Surf) and incurded a complimentary ding in the roof which they have denied. Also their head mechanic told me the oil filters they sell (Bosch) is the only one besides genuine that has a return valve in it and Ryco is crap. Crap I say.....
Last time I went with my new 80, I told them to check the injectors and let me know so I can decide what to do, then they checked them, found they where poor and re-installed without contacting me, so they had to pull them out again to re-do. I also wanted them to dyno check the power, which they might have done, where is the dyno report??? Gone.... Also overcharged me for injector service by $200 (this is my fault for not ringing around again). They also had it for a week, did all the work on the last day and kept me waiting (while they stood around yapping) for almost 3 hours after I was told it would be done (leaving there at 7pm) they day before I was to leave to go on a week trip at 6am the next morning,
Then my mother's boyfriend takes his Merc G-wagon in there for a injector / pump service and comes out of there with a f'd keyway on the crank / harmonic balancer. Then they tried to fix it, stuffed a second balancer, and the keyway is rooted more, and the motor is pissing oil front and rear cos it was run out of balance!!!
So I now want to go else where,
Alec

I used Norwest Diesel in Castle Hill. They replaced all the injectors in my old cruiser. I thought they were a good bunch of guys. I had no complaints.
From memory, a set of recoed injectors fitted and the fuel primer pump replaced (with a Bosch unit) cost me $540 I think. That was for a 2h, so a multivalve would be more expensive i would imagine.

Hi all...I went to them to fix a surging problem related to my fuel pump, and also get a boost compesator fitted[aneroid].
Got my vehicle back, and it went like a rocket, wheel spin in 3rd gear on dry tar with 33s.
A few weeks later i realized i had overheating issues, got the EGT checked, they were way too high, got them reset to 525c where they were previously and supposed to be.Vehicle had surging issues and went the same as before,$2000 later and a complete waste of money.
