HID light colour temperature (K). what do people use?
What colour does everyone tend to use in their HID lights or HID conversions? I realise you can buy nearly any colour temp. (K). I think most people are using 6000K, but is this the case?
Personal opinion only:
5000k HID are too yellow for my liking.
I prefer 6000k with the tinge of blue. I now find it difficult to drive a vehicle at night with standard halogen headlights and/or spotties. Sounds weird I know. I guess it comes down to what you get used to.
The only downfall I find with 6000k, is that they are pathetic in thick dust at night. They are beautiful to drive with in rain, dawn, midnight and dusk. They are not too blue to be illegal (they are ok with the local cops and RTA blokes)
And even after saying that, one manufactures 6000k can be totally different to that of anothers supposedly 6000k. Can easily tell the slight variations.
