diesel performance chip 2002 hilux 3ltr turbo

Post by micka1 »

i've got a 2002 hilux 3 litre turbo diesel and am thinking about getting a performance chip ie dtronic or dp chip or any other brands out there ? just wondering which is better and peoples experience with these chips ? And how good are they also fuel consumption differences ( better or worse ) ? car will be used for quite a bit of towing and i am after longevity and engine life will these effect this or not , the distributors assure that it won't affect this with there warranties of 100000klms and such. any info would be greatly appreciated thanks

Go the DP Chip
Everyone I've put 1 in is very happy including my own cruiser
If your towing you will notice a huge differance
If you interested in one let me know i'm a distributor & i'll look after you

i put a detronic in a 01 3.0ltr td hilux and put on a intercooler at the same time. the car runs 14psi boost 33in tyres and it flys, u can overtake ppl on the hwy going up hills the car trallier on the back and the tray full of spares and tools.

it likes to cruise around 120kph on the hwy.
i put a pryro in underload up a hill it just reaches 520deg. on full boost.

A few know diesel guys told me that if the gauge gets to 650deg back off before you damage to the motor

Where are you measuring the temp, pre or post turbo?
