my mate just got his transfer in his WT zook stuck in nuetral,to fix this do you have to pull off the front section of the transfer,drainin g the oil etc, or could we get to it from the top like i had to in my hilux,,,,,,any help asap thanx

sounds like the bush on ur transfer ball is stuffed which caused it to get jamed, just pull ur stick out and give it a fiddle should at least be able to get it back into gear and driveable untill ya can fix it.

thanx man, so do u go just through the top or what, i unclipped the little clip around the boot on the transfer lever, should it just pull out from there????then just click it back in place perhaps and be careful????????

Remove the 4 phillips head screws holding the shifter boot to the floor.
Pull the rubber shifter seal up the shaft, its retained by a kind of wire spring clamp thingo to the shifter housing.

Get 2 long screwdrivers and push the tin cap retaining the shifter down and twist 90 degrees, the whole shifter, seal cap can now be lifted out.

before getting to serious try rolling the car forward a couple of feet, with the hubs engaged. it may do the trick.

spot on.
when you have done this you need a long flat big screwdriver to move the forks.
you will see the slot in each fork you need to line these up again. this is the neutral position.replace the bush, place the stick back in.. job done.
