Feroza rear wheel hubs

Post by metal »

I saw some Feroza having no hubs on the rear wheels and some others do have, of course, they all have hubs on the front wheels

Anybody have any ideas on this anomaly

Thanks

i believe you are referring to the hub "caps" that fit onto the original daihatsu rims? that might cause some confusion. thats all they are, "caps" to fill in the center hole and help hide the axle facing.

so those rear hub caps are purely decorative items, apart from protecting the axle face?

A decorative item for making the rear wheels look the same as the front. Some people want them on- others don't. ;)

Ah, I see, thanks for confirming that, looks like I belong to the former group while the ex-owner of my Feroza beongs to the latter group :D

No wonder when I requested my mechanic to get a pair of hub caps from the wreckers I felt his contempt of my stupidity

Front and back hub caps have saved me many times on deep mud and ruff roads. The front ones thank god once i felt on the side of the road had saved me my hubs but the hub caps broked.

are the clips alone secured enough to stick the hub cap to the hub? or glue was also used? how did you get the spare caps? wreckers?
