Saddle fuel tanks

Post by matwelli »

Hi Guys,

Have a gen 2 exceed that just come off a farm, so have had to strip the carpets out (stink like dead cows).

Noticed that under the middle seat right hand side there is a air-con/heater unit in the floor.
The size of it would be equivalent to around 20 litres.

If this was throwen in the bin, and the space is spare on the left side as well, a couple of 20 litre tanks could be fabed up.

Any thoughts on the down side of this ? for me 40 liters is enough for the playing around that I do, and could carry a few jerry cans on the back door if required (make up a rack next to the spare wheel)

The positive is would allow me to get rid of the rear tank (already has about 10 litres "missing" due to a big thump).

Thoughts ?
Cheers

Mat
