There is a whiff of dodginess about this imho.

Who wouldn't pull off the head for a look at least?

Plus the start price and the buy-it-now price are almost the same, which is completely stupid. I guess the owner could be a bit of a dope, but throw in the lack of photos as well and it just seems a bit wrong.
This is not legal advice.

Does sound a bit sus. Selling a $26,000 rig for $9000 when it could be as simple as a head gasket ??? As if you wouldn't even look before taking a $17,000 hit to the hip pocket :?

If he dropped a 2nd hand motor in it and sold it, he'd make 3 times that wouldn't he? :?

Dodgy - but it's not exactly the usual scam (HSV's etc)

If you were going to buy it you would go and have a look at it. He might have a stuffed motor and not know as much as what we know. $9000 sounds reasanable if you add on the price for a complete motor gearbox conversion to get it going again.

Whilst it does sound a bit dodgy, he does offer COD as a payment option. If he sent you pics prior to bidding, it may not be such a bad thing.....

Organise to view before bidding. Only thing is that you would have to tow it home!
