gas air filter boxes

Post by shakes »

have people made custom boxes to sit on top of the carb or is there something out there than I can adapt to gas and butcher to suit?

done a bit of a search and couldnt come up with anything conclusive.

when it comes to making one... is it possible to make it too big/high etc and effect the performance or have i just gotta make sure I get a nice swirl effect around the filter

(its a 350holley on a rover/p76 motor)

Cheers
Simon

You can get a standard old fashioned looking air cleaner, but in black plastic for the 300A. I'll take a pic tomorrow in the light and post it. It comes with an adaptor from the rounded rectangle outlet to a 3" hole which is common and therefor allows you to easily plumb it to a snorkle.

As used on carby gq's but you will need a bit of space under the bonnet to clear as it will sit quite high ontop of a holley/ quaddie or whatever you are using.
