smoke in car from heater

Post by hell »

this 1 has me scratching head heater is putting out smoke into cab via vents not an oil smell or a burning smell only when traveling
looking in the book for air cond it says there is a vacum line to it to operate it ??? wondering if any one know where that goes too on air cond thinking that that might be whats up

no oil around motor all clean
checked vents at top clear
do i have to remove dash to get at it ????
its like a breather off motor has fallen off some where
when it backfired when installing dizzy
motor runs ok no probs there
smoke only happens when driving not at still positions
3.5 flapper type efi ( flapper removed all gas )
ps no heat in heater aswell if thats a hint hoses hot but no heat output at all
this is what makes me think a vacum line is off to air cond aswell and leaching into cab
has any one had this before here thanks for the help guys too before on dizzy

you shore its smoke and not steam. If it is steam could have a leak from one of the hoses, or the heater matrics. This is most common a lose pipe or warn pipe
Need to have a look at the heater matrics
Is the truck loseing water.

does sound to me that you heater matrics is shagged

Its the way it shatters that matters

Could be the resistors associated with the motor speed control maybe :?:
