100' is pretty good, the car will climb and have pretty good clearance, shorter starts to stand on its bum when climbing, and weight transfers bad and longer than 100 will climb better and better as the length is extended.

I know you like it long but I reckon 100' and you'd be at the top and the bottom of the obstacle at the same timeljxtreem wrote:100' is pretty good, the car will climb and have pretty good clearance, shorter starts to stand on its bum when climbing, and weight transfers bad and longer than 100 will climb better and better as the length is extended.

Spit my last breath
the shorter the better if you are out to have some fun.
although I am sure midget will disagree after the last time he came to Ormeau with us....

But I think 100" is competitive, over that and your ramp over sucks, turning circle is generally poorer and it makes fun little slabs too easy...

100 too 110, have a look at the comp cars, rangies, extended pootrols ect all fall within the 100 to 110, keeping the diffs close to each end also help. Break over angle also comes into it.... LWB vehicles have trouble climbing over logs ect where they excell on climbs.... Just my 2c's
