I put mine in the back of the vehicle. I couldnt come up with anywhere practical in the engine bay either on the left or the right of the 2F. I dont imagine you want a pic of my battery mounted in the rear do you?

might be different for BJ vs FJ..

I have two trays on each side, but I think i'll need to move the Aux one (on the drivers side) when installing the turbo.

I'm thinking the best bet is probably where Matt put his, in the back on the wheel wells.

I'll post you a pic of mine up tomorrow before we moved it into the back, it can be done but space is tight. Basically you have to squeeze it up to the brake booster. i also turned my battery around so there was no risk of shorting the live terminal out on the booster it's self as yes it's that close.

A special battery tray was custom built with one leg to the chassis and 2 tabs bolting through the inner flare at each end of the battery tray nothing fancy.

Holy crap Biff, talk about SHOEHORN! Looks like a tight fit. I'd hate to have to do any work on the exhaust manifolds. How does she go?

fast. Very fast.

pushing 200 HP and the fit's not that tight. There's some lag at the low end now, probably due to running 3.70s with 35" tires.

there's pleanty of clearance between the frame and the manifolds.

that turbo looks great, i am about do do a ford au 6 swap to the 4 speed that should be a lot better on fuel and more power then the old 1f 3.8l with 134 hp at 4000 rpm . first power steering is almost done, just finished putting a brake booster on with 4wheel drums ,now she stops well. cheers madjimmy
