Have a 100 series with a leaking front output on the transfer case ,

This dosn,t have a nut to hold the flange on , so we have to pull the 6 odd bolts out of the front output housing , and what holds the flange in there ?
A circlip or somthing , theres no shift fork in there or anything that will give us a hard time to put back together ?

Never done 100 before , Just hoping its as easy as i think it is :?

I haven't done a front, but if it's like the rear output then a snap ring holds the shaft and bearing in place. Should be easier than the rear as no oil pump to remove.

I believe you need to remove the switch(es) first too, as they can be damaged when trying to refit the housing due to detent ball sticking out too far.

Just unbolt the housing, and the whole shaft comes out of the centre diff with a spline like an axlein a diff......so its easy peasy...but to press the shaft out of the housing to get to the seal, you need some special doovers and a new bearing as you will damage it......
