i'm runnin 36x13.5r15 IROK's for the moment.
great clutch, standard 40s t-case and gears, B (3litre diesel).

i drove around in H2, H4, L4 adn L2 last night. on a bitumen slop, flat ground was fine in all gears.

put it in low 4 and went playin. got it crossed up stuff, was idoling high but was fine no slip.

Question is after i run it for a while (2 days of competeion) well it still work?
bearing in mind i never managed to get it bound up tight or any thing like that last night and the grass was probly a bit duey.

what do 40's owner's think?

dunno, i hope so because i'm looking at q78 swampers, new clutch and 2f.

however i'm running a later model split case, so it should stop me grenading t cases (i was doing that on 33's)

The 36's are ALOT bigger than Q78's

p.s. the problem with blowin t-case was your drivin :finger:

i think 36's should be alright....having the gears would help alot tho...

i was just runnin 39 tsl's and without the 2nd tranny i would of been screwed.

i found it difficult to take off in 2 high.

38s made no differance in my opinion on wills 60 series, 2f tuned for gas running petrol, no gears nuthin, didnt flinch, dint struggle no slip in the standard clutch nuthin.

you will loose low 2nd for any mud driving.............and forced to use 1st a lot more. Still, should still punt them around fine......but slowly lol

adam: put a Q78 beside a 36's IROK and see what ya think man.

Vorn, chunder, flynn: as i said i tested and 3rd high's not a problem.

Reddo: man the engines 26, 2nd bearly gear's use. tried it on a slop once and it diiieeeeeeddd. i dont think there'll be and long mud run's or alike so i think i'll be fine.

vorno: your petrol aren't you???

thanks pep's.

Vorno, you really need to drive a diseasel, specially a 3B.

Heaps of difference, even between my 60 2H diesel and my shorty B diesel.

Cheers
