Matching 6 inch shocks to 2 inch spring lift

Post by Seafarer »

Hi All,

Just an amateurish question.

What can go wrong with matching shocks meant for a 6 inch lift to Springs that gives a 2 inch lift?

1) Hard to fit as the non-extended shocks are longer.
2) Springs might pop out at full extended flexing
3) no problem
Cheers,
Mike

The shocks will probably bottom out before you hit the bumpstops, that extra length normally means less compression than stock etc. Shocks dont like being used as bumpstops and they'll soon die.
