Hi sparkies
I've got the above lights to install but,
1. both wires from back of light are 'white'. Diagram does not indicate + or -- .
2. I want to have incab 'ON' switch
2a. as well as working for reversing, when engaged
I understand a relay+ fuse will be necassary.
Can you explain to an electrical novice how to wire this up, Please
Thanks

Re: H3-50w Supercrap. as reverse lights, 99 Lux How to conne
Legally, rear facing white lights are ONLY allowed on when in reverse. Work lights are permitted if they can't be switched from within the cabin.wisey wrote:Hi sparkies

Who actually obeys these rules?
For wiring? A relay isn't really essential for a 50W "work light" but it's not a bad idea. How to wire it is a little too complicated for this time of night.
There's a couple of members who are good a describing this stuff - hopefully one will come along soon.
Good luck,
Scott
Run fused power feed wire to a relay, earth relay, run switch wire from relay to 3-pos switch in dash (middle terminal), 1 outer terminal to reverse (original) wire, outer outer terminal to a powered terminal in fuse box (powered with ign on or of, your choice). This gives option of off, on with reverse lights & manually on.
