Removing turbo from hilux

Having done the rings and bearings on the hilux and wanting to rego it sooner rather than later I have removed the bodgey turbo and decided against fitting the new turbo until after it is registered.
I need to know the factory fuelling setting on the injector pump and which screw it is.
I also need to know if I can simply plug where the oil feed line comes off the block. The current fitting looks exactly like the one that feeds through the alternator. If I plug this with a bolt will it create some kind of back-pressure and is there a specific fitting instead of a bolt?
I will post a pic in 30 mins or so.

i thought thats where the pressure switch went on those engines
I reckon you could put a oil pressure switch back in there and not worry bout connecting it with a wire

Mine doesn't have the SR5 dash, but your leaning toward the right direction.
Does this mean I can just put a short bolt in there?

When I put the turbo on mine, the fitting that fed the alternator off the block was replaced with a fitting that had 2 outlets. I can't see a problem with putting a bolt in there. Unless you could scavenge one from a wrecker to keep it looking stock for the inspection.

A 1/8" BSP bung is what you are after.
It is a metric thread that is so close to 1/8" BSP it works fine.

So atm I am after a 1/8" thread or an oil pressure switch(which I would use later).
Thanks for the replies guys.
Now where is the fuel adjustment and how many turns from zero??
I know I cold find it and tinker till there is minimal smoke but it is hard to sort out while the vehicle is unregistered and illegal on the road.

Cheers mate, I know I can do similar. I am trying to stay away from the mechanics, I have one who I trust but I am just trying to save $$$ atm. It cost me $507 in parts to do the rings and bearings, the mechanics want around and above $1500.
I know the information is available here and am hoping to utilise it, hell without the forums I wouldn't have dreamt of doing the other job

turn the screw on the back of the injector pump 1/8 of a turn out and see how she goes if still belching smoke go another 1/8 (10mm locking screw i think)it is very sensative so only a little at a time(good luck)

Dont go adjusting your fuel mixture without a pyro or there is a good chance it will go bang. Its when you load them up in top gear or in the soft sand when you get big rises in exhaust temps. They go up and down 200 degrees in 10-15 seconds.
