have converted my lux 4runner 84' to this 2.4 petrol lux 91motor.the carb was stuffed and just paid 450 to redo the old 3y motors carb,so put in a weber 32-36 off an escort. ran great for a while, but now acts as iff the secondarys are stuffed dies in the arse! im not sure if the ventilation ie pcv is doing its job .on old set up it fed to inlet below carb,now this stalls the car so ive left it off and blocked manifold hole up.as i said this ran well.she idles fine and vacuum guage at same area shows no leaks.whats up here?
ive checked fuel bowl and main jets.its a basic carby.this motor runs elec dizzy and no gaps dizzy pre set air gap which looks uneven to the rotor line/level.and she sometimes keeps running at turn off.this should be the loss of old carbs fuel cut solenoid and fuel return which again is blocked off. not sure if i have elect.or fuel /air problem.?help sick of the dramas and wanna just go the 302 w option.
