Hub seals

Post by CheesePony »

Heya,

Just after some part no's if anyone can help....

I've just been to Repco to pick up some hub seals and axle seals (the inner seal for the oil) and he's given me 4 hub seals. I've got a LN106R 92' solid axle hilux.

Does anyone know the part no's for these seals?

The seal no's he gave me are: 97699 & 97165 and they are 'Kelpro' but they both look like hub seals. I'm guessing at least one of these seal numbers are correct. Which one? And does anyone have a part number for the axle seal?

And also...

My ute is white, does anyone know where to pick up some touch-up paint from and what the colour code im looking for is?

Thanks heaps guys

I bought a complete swivel hub rebuild kit last week on eBay for $80. Came with all seals and gaskets to do both sides, plus upper and lower bearings. All looks like good stuff too!

Sorry, don't know part numbers though.

The axle (oil) seal is about 30mm diametre, the hub seal is about 100mm diamaetre.

Im pretty sure the hilux uses same hub and axle seals as the 40/60/75series cruiser.

I have got no part codes on me, but i have been told by a few people that the genuine oil seals are better and last longer than aftermarket ones. something to do with a dual lip on them rather than 1 lip.
