I wonder how he managed to get it titled (and yes I know he won't tell) but from what I can gather it must have been next to impossible to do. Would be cool to own tho, and turn it into a winch comp style vehicle. Although you wouldn't want to cut up a $40 000 SWB to do it

What diesel motor is in it?
As It isnt a TD42T or is that what the RD28T looks like. As I havent looked at one of them for ages.

probably nothing as you wouldn't be able to import it for someone to drive it

You can import a GU...but it has to be brought up to USA specs. A RI (registered importer) has to go through the truck and make everything meet DOT & EPA requirements. This could cost anywhere from $5,000 to $50,000.

It is possible this is what the 95 GQ has had done to it. Which may be why the reserve is so damn high.

The motor in that is the 2.8L Turbo Diesel from the looks of it since its timing belt driven

It maybe economical, but its got no power :)

I kind of thought that too since it doesn't look like the 4.2. I wonder why the seller has it as a 4.2TD in the auction...or maybe I just read it wrong. It is a nice low mile GQ no doubt.

Regardless that is a huge sum of cash to pay for a GQ Patrol. And with the 2.8L I wouldn't even really want it.

Over $30k...reserve still not met.

its a 6 cyl turbo, you can clearly see the 6 injector lines.
looks like a rb30 abit, but its not.

anybody else think that rear towbar looks not quite safe.

the 2.8L is a 6 Cylinder, just a very under powered one for the size of the car its pushing

Get it shipped to the US ($4k) and comply it (Who knows how much) and you could advertise it too.
