Hi,
I have managed to fit a warn 6000 to my Zuk JB 33.
The problem is that during winching under normal load ( no hardcore stuff here ) , after the winch comes to a stop and i start to winch in immediately after that, the wich cannot perform. The normal sound from the solonide is present.
I am using a 60 amp battery only. Is this the problem ? or wiring problem ?
Will try to do a recording ( .mov) and hope you guys can help me figure it out.
Thanks.

warn 6000
Hi Benzit,
I've got a warn 6000 pounder and so far it's been great (though i have had it serviced and that was a tad expensive)...
Mine pulls no worries, and makes easy work of dragging my little sierra around when the going gets tough.
I'm not sure about the amps on my battery, but i know that it had about 650 Cold Cranking Amps - i think warn recommends 600 or so as a minimum for running these winches.
Anyways, I'll wait to see you .mov file and perhaps i can be of more help then.
Cheers

I think Greg may be right on the Q.
I use a Warn 2500 Atv winch and it performs better than you describe.
Stop and start when I want and it pulls my zuk up serious muddy tractionless slopes with or without the aid of a snatch block.

Thaks a lot guys,
I wrote in to Warn and am so pleased with their prompte reply. Looks like Steve ( from Warn ) got to the root of the problem.
Do allow me to cut and paste to share my experience you you guys.
Good day Ben,
Thank you for visiting the Warn web page.
This sounds like a solenoid problem, our control pack has 4 solenoids, 2 for power in and 2 for power out. If on of the two is fatigued, it will work for a while, but once it gets warmed up, it will stop working until it cools off again. The sound you are hearing is the second solenoid functioning properly. Does the winch work fine again after it has cooled? Does this only occur for power in?
Make sure that the battery cables are tight and clean, the ground cable must be attached to the negative battery terminal for best performance, not the vehicles frame.
If a solenoid needs to be replaced please contact our distributor in Indonesia.
