simex JT2 ?
I have a GU 4.2 turbo with a 3" lift and are looking for some advice on a new set of play tyers. Anyone had much to do with simex JT2 as I was considering a set.
Re: simex JT2 ?
had them on my GQ, and loved them. great tire for the price. Would go another set without question.
There are so many "PLAY" tires out there
Depends on what sort of wheeling your doing, rock, mud, clay, etc...

Got them on my disco2 and love them also. If they'll fit the 11.5 wides are definately the go over the 10.5's as they have better smooth surface traction. The 34x11.5-16 when new also measure up at 35.2" in the centre of the tread and 300mm wide through the bad on an 8" rim.
Cheers

I've found the tread pattern of the ET's to be far superior to JT's in all terrains and road handling. Personally, if i was getting 33's i'd get a set of Mongrels over the JT's hands down.

I have to agree with you but running 40 psi (on road almost eliminates this)bogged wrote:only thing with JT's as said in 230948230498 other threads is they flatspot something savage if left on coupla days without being driven.. shakes your teeth to bits for first 2-5klms

What kind of pressures do you all run? On my troopy i run ~40psi on the road, yet i've had people insist on running much lower (~25psi) to preserve the center tread. I've found that when running low pressures on road i can just about feel every shoulder lug around corners - can't be good for shoulder-life?Krankieone wrote:I have to agree with you but running 40 psi (on road almost eliminates this)bogged wrote:only thing with JT's as said in 230948230498 other threads is they flatspot something savage if left on coupla days without being driven.. shakes your teeth to bits for first 2-5klms
u cant be serious can ya?? i started of with mongrels, then the ets in a 32, i found then great but they dug in to much, ive recently put 33 jt2s on now and they r the bomb over the other 2.GQ Bear wrote:I've found the tread pattern of the ET's to be far superior to JT's in all terrains and road handling. buggy time............
i ran 33 jt2s before i went to 36 iroks and though they were excellent offroad couldnt really fault them in all terrain types.they did however flatspot horrendously when left standing for a while.

I'm assuming your opinion is based on buy price not tyre quality?GQ Bear wrote:I've found the tread pattern of the ET's to be far superior to JT's in all terrains and road handling. Personally, if i was getting 33's i'd get a set of Mongrels over the JT's hands down.
