Should have a nissan soon...

Post by chimpboy »

Hiyas,

Just been lurking for a while getting the lay of the land. I currently have an Isuzu MU which I'll be selling soon; I actually really love it but it's not quite the right car for my needs - only a two-seater, for starters.

Looking for a SWB GQ or Maverick, missed out on an '89 Maverick in Sydney that was going for $6499... saw the ad too late, durn it. I'm in Brisbane but I am happy to buy anywhere on the east coast if the price is right. By the way, anyone know what the process is for buying a car in NSW when you live in Qld? They seem to be a coupla grand cheaper in Sydney than in Brisbane for some reason.

Anyways, just thought I'd say g'day - seems like the list is at about the right level for my liking. Hopefully I'll have a relevant car soon enough.

:)

Cheers,

Jason

Thanks. Yah, that's what I would have thought except the rta.nsw.gov.au website seems to say you MUST HAVE a NSW drivers' licence to buy a car in NSW. Ie I won't even be able to fill out the transfer form without a NSW driver licence number or a NSW RTA "customer number." It sounds screwy to me... but anyway...

I'll figure it out if I have to!

Cheers,

Jason

cancel the NSW rego. You have to have a safety certificate anyway.
