you'll get so many mixed response here, which is what a forum is about so your best bet is ring up your local RTA, VicRoads, or whoever is your local authority and find out from the people that make the rules....that way there's no confusion.

For NSW its something to do with a certain year on, you can have them on the roof.

The problem is that most cops get the shits when you pull out the ADR that states this and you get defected for something else.

Easiest way is to set them up on a 3 way switch.

1 for off, 1 for on all the time, and one for on with driving lights.

If you get pulled up there " Work Lights ".

I have never been defected for light on my commodore ute but used to get done all the time in the kingswood.
