G'box and transfer breathers

Post by landy_man »

Right...
late 01 model Hilux..
Have found the breathers on the g'box and transfer..
Now.. how the fark do you extend them.. they dont unscrew like the diff's... and I dont reckon there is enough "meat" there to just slip a hose on...

What has everyone else done..

Get air line fittings and hose. it works well. Or dont drive through mud holes.
If you dont have panel damage you ain't trying hard enough

yeah thanks mate.. but already know that.. and have done so on the diffs..
the problem is that on the transfer and gearbox, the breathers dont appear to unscrew like the diff ones do..
I could pop the cap off them.. and try force something inside the hole and seal it up somehow...

I want to know what others have done with theirs..
