tyre cleaning?

i tried search and it comes up CRITICAL ERROR! whats the best thing for cleaning caked on shite on my tyres? there filthy and the mud is baked on and cant even high presure them clean at the local carwash! thanks in advance

CT18 truck wash always gets rid of my mud and dirt pretty easily...

are they dirty or stained?

if they r just stained get some tyre shine
if the dirt wont come off with high pressure hose its not a very good one

When I wash my 80 after a hard week end, I will always give it a good hosing down at home, let it soak in, then drive up to car lovers etc and blast it off there. Always works well and dont forget to do the under body too. I ran a detailing business for 2 years and this is what I did with all the really filthy forby's I encountered. Also, I keep the polish up on my truck and give it a quick lick every 3-4 washes, (run over it with an orbital and a foam pad - takes 5 mins) as this helps prevent scratches, helps cover them up and makes it easier to clean when the mud is really dried on there.
Tires however, will tend to stain when the mud is dried on there.

Jiff creame cleanser and a scothbrite scourer, you will be impressed with both the black rubber and the white letters (if you have them) and finish them off with Meguiar's Endurance Tyre Protectant Gel,

Lanotec Lanolin will remove any stains of mud on tyres... Give the tyre a good even spray (dont cake it on) then come back in half an hour and give it another spray.

Tyres will look new, and you can even do the tread surface with it (Dont blame me if you crash, just drive normal for a few km's and it burns off and looks new)

CT18 and let it work for as long as you can wait [30 mins + is good] If they are really dirty give them a scrub with a stiff brush to loosen the tough stuff after you put the CT18 on. Hose it off with the highest pressure you can get – [garden hose is OK pressure washer is better]. If they still look a bit dirty after they are dry [stained by the mud] wipe them over with Armour All or your brand of cheap dash/rubber treatment and they will look like new!

So Easy by CRC just wash them off with a hose and a sponge with some car wash and as long as you got the big stuff off spray on so easy and forget


it even gets the infamous Wattagans mud blue off
