Buggy frame help.
ok having a very large brain fade trying to start the floor of the buggy...
im mounting the engine and box further back into the seating area, front engined, 2 seater...
does anyone have some pics or ideas to get me started...
the problem im having is im trying to make it a flat floor. this means the engine and box must sit above the floor, but with it like that the seats seem to make it too wide as they have to clear the trans.
this is messing with my head and i just cant see how to start the tube floor from scratch..
any help is accepted greatly..
thanks mark.

i forgot to say
with the seats as close to the tunnel as possible i can get it to around 1400mm wide... but due to my legs running up to the side of the engine,if i angle the front floor tube to narrow along the engine its very squishy where the pedals go....
is 1400mm too wide for a 2 seater buggy?

i don't think 1400 is too wide, the minimum width for Pro Mod (2 seater etc) is 1220mm.
Make sure you have leg room.
Make sure you have leg room.
Strange Rover wrote:Just spoke to Rich Klein and the rules will be based on the following:
- 2 seats
- 48in (1220mm) minimum chassis width (basically the width measured at the rocker/slider area or where the "side steps" would go if you ran them)
- front engined
- steering box (ram assist allowed) now full hydro.
- 37in tyres max
- bonnet, grill , front guards, sides, rear quarters to make the rig look like a 4wd vehicle, 3 dimensional
- The structure of the frame must extend to the front of the front tyres and to the centre line of the rear axle. The front of the front "bumber" must be located no further rearward than the front of the front tyres and the bottom of the bumber must be no heigher than the top of the front tyres at static ride height and it must be no narrower than 20in (508mm).
The construction of the frame can be full tube (doesent have to have RHS chassis rails) and the rest of the rigs requirements are per the current WE Rock rules at www.we-rock.cc
