Dobinsons are good, not sure about the gabriel shocks. I run 3" dobs, and procomp shocks which is a good match, and cost are $800aus
Don't think you'll fit 35's very well with a 3" lift though.
Ask for info from the guys selling the coils as to what rate to go for, if they can't give you an answer, go elsewhere.

Look into a 3" lift that Ridepro do. The shocks are a large bore and mine have taken a hammering. As have several mates of mine. cheezy racing does the riderpo setups, but u already have a price on those. Either way i cant see a much better value for money set up then those.
3" lift anf u might just get 35's in. I run 2" sus and 2" body and run 35's and get a tiny amount of rub a the back. as does my mate with 3" spring and 2" body, but he is running 36x 12.5's now.
id stay away from gabriel or whatever they are they are a cheap supercrap jobby

That be bad rubbing on a GQ?KIWI wrote:hmmm, I get bad rubbing with my 3" lift on 35'sGRINCH wrote:you will fit 35s just with 2" body lift
35x13.5 on a GU ute with only a 2" lift. Was fine.
The front inner guards were bashed in though. And you can always place 10mm spacers on the radius/control arms to push the front diff forward a little.
Can always look on ebay for cheap second hand kits.
Heck, there will be cheap second hand kits everywhere if these new national laws ever come in.

my 33's rubbed with 7+inch lift all up...
FWIW on your lift, any of the kits around will do, you could search and find the answers 239042304820358023 times..
just tell the dealer what accessories you have, and what sort of driving you do, if they are worth pissing on, they will be able to sell you the right kit to go with.
YMMV
What factory the shocks come from is pretty irrelevant! As has been said many times, there is about 2 or 3 factory that make almost all shocks. The difference is wether the shock has been made to a spec or to a price! buy the cheapest XY brand and that is what you are getting. Buy a brand that has been around, is tried and tested in the conditions you drive with the vehicle you drive and you'll be pretty safe. I've destroyed plenty (about 10 in the past 3 years) of OME shocks, but that is because of what I do with them. I race against guys using EFS, which are supposed to be stronger and they replace their's just as often! The more you spend the happy you'll be be.
