I'm doing a body lift on my 80 next week it's an auto has anyone done a body lift on an auto how do I extend the shifter rod are there any other problems to expect

Thats the exact site I used when I did mine. Only think is mins is a 91 model and it has a different centre console. Cutting away the floorpan behind the high/low shift stick wasnt enough for it to stay in Low so I will eventually have to remove the shifter and bend it (I have to remove the console to use Low). The auto shifter adjust with 1mins work to the linkage underneith.
All in all it is easy except for the rusted in bolts, they were a REAL pain.

Make sure you remember to loosen the steering shaft, read a few posts about putting a rubber spacer in the universal to get length, not always needed, but good to know./
Also, redrill the radiator holddown bolt holes and position rad 2 inches lower....make sure you put 2 inches of rubber in the forgotten rear floorpan rubbers at the rear wheel arches....the floor vibrates otherwise....
